Dogs require a lot more attention and general effort than cats typically. So it would make sense that the pet of choice is predominantly the one that can more or less be self sufficient if you provide it with the basics.

In 2019 I lived in a bigger city for my state (USA) and my rent for a 1Br was $1200mo (heat/hot water only). Though it was not “in” the city, but one street over from the main strip. It is massively more expensive now

Where did you find that definition? That wasn’t the definition I remembered so I looked it up too and I found what I thought it was but not what you found. Was that on urban dictionary?
This is interesting because I do not over eat, and I do not like most sweets. It becomes overbearing rapidly. Chocolate milk though must hit that balance for me perfectly. It also would explain why it’s such a comfort food for me.
I’ll make sure to read up on those, thank you for the source(s)!
Wait, FR? I have an…enthusiasm for chocolate milk. I drink far too much and it basically replaces meals. I actually had to stop buying milk because once I do, I can go through that gallon in a day. If I can get myself to stop, I’m good. But if it’s an option it takes priority over all others for consumables in the household
It’s also possible he didn’t like being touched. I’m also someone who’s particular about touch, sometimes people take offense to not wanting hugs etc.
Seems like he didn’t know them so he may not have wanted to be touched like that and had not-so-tactfully told them so.
